600GPD PureEssence Eco Compact RO System

I am very pleased with this new under sink reverse osmosis water filter. It is very efficient, having a 3:1 ratio (75% efficiency is about peak for this kind of filter) and using very little electricity. It was easy to install, took about an hour to do, including the spigot. Once that was done, I ran it for about a a half dozen gallons to be sure everything worked well.After that, I tasted it and was very pleased with how clear the water was and how it tasted. The flow rate is just under a half a gallon per minute, good for a glass of water when I want one. I also use RO for cleaning burnt food off of pans as it is more reactive and this flow rate is convenient for that as well. I am especially pleased with the indictor for the filter being o easy to see on the spigot.The spigot is attractive and looks good on my stainless steel sink. The unit itself under the sink also looks good, being all clean lines and modern looking. It uses three hoses, one to the source, one for waste water and the one that goes to the spigot. There is also a wire that runs to the spigot which is novel in my experience. I suspect it is solely for the indictor hat changes to red when the filter starts to need swapping.This whole system seems compact, efficient and long-lasting. I am pleased with it and at it's current list price I think it constitutes a good value.

This reverse osmosis system is so easy to install and makes the water very clean and clear. The only reason I took off one star is because when I first turn it on, it sputters a little bit and takes a second to reach a flow. After that everything is great. It's especially handy because my fridge water dispenser always freezes and doesn't dispense and now I don't have to worry about that anymore. One thing to note is that I imagine most people will have to plug this in where the garbage disposal and those are almost always switched outlets. This can cause an issue with using your disposal of you don't have an air switch.

The water quality is the whole point here and it delivers. No chlorine taste, no smell, just clean water straight from the faucet. If you're on city water and tired of the taste, or you've been running everything through a pitcher filter, this is a big step up. The tankless design is the other selling point, and it frees up a serious amount of room under the sink compared to a traditional tank system. Everything looks clean and modern down there, with far fewer connection points to worry about leaking. Flow rate is good for filling a glass, though it does take a second to spool up and it's a bit slow if you're filling a big bottle or a pot for cooking. There's a soft hum while it's running, nothing intrusive.Installation is manageable if you're reasonably handy, maybe an hour if your existing setup cooperates, but a lot longer if you have to make modifications. If you've never done plumbing work, get someone in to help. The big thing to check before you buy is your under-sink outlet, since it's often wired to the garbage disposal switch. If it is, this won't get consistent power and you'll need an air switch or a split outlet to work around it. Also worth remembering there's no reservoir, so a power outage means no filtered water until it comes back. The filters twist out by hand with no tools needed, they last a long time, and the faucet has an indicator that tells you when to swap them. Solid system overall and a good value for what it does.

This is a great water filter. Well then why did you get it 4 stars? Because the pump should be at least 800gpd at this price point. Otherwise it’s a great system. Installation is easier than the tank based system we had prior and there is less maintenance.I included a photo of my old system and the new one for comparison.One thing to keep in mind since there is no reservoir here, when there is a blackout. You are without filtered water. Something to consider.Pros: consistent water pressure and it spools pretty quicklyWater quality is greatThe push in tubes have an additional failsafe that gets pushed inside.Excellent form factors. Takes up much less space under the sink than a tank based system.Cons: pump is slower than I’d like for filling large bottles of getting large quantities of water for cooking.

I put in the Electrolux 600 GPD tankless water filter system to see how well it actually works. Since I already had an old filter under my sink, swapping this one in was pretty easy. One thing you have to check is your power plug under the sink. Sometimes that plug is tied to the wall switch for your garbage disposal, and if it is, the filter won’t get power unless that switch is on.In my case, my plumber had already set up a "split outlet." This is a great way to do it because one of the plugs stays on all the time for the filter, while the other plug only turns on when I flip the switch for the disposal. If you don't have that yet, you can also use a simple plug-in adapter or an "air switch" button to get the same result.Now that everything was set up, it was time for the test.When I first turned it on, the water looked a little cloudy. That’s normal for a brand-new filter, so I let it run for about 3 minutes to clean everything out. It actually cleared up sooner than that, but I wanted to be safe. Once it was clear, I used a water testing kit—the kind where you dip a test strip into a glass of water. My tap water started at 200 PPM (which is how you measure the "junk" or minerals in the water). After the filter did its job, the balance was perfect. There were no bad minerals and no hardness at all. Everything was right where it should be.The performance is solid. It fills up a regular glass in about 10 seconds, so you aren't standing there forever waiting for a drink. I also checked the TDS (the "junk" levels) again, and even the very first bit of water that comes out is clean and ready to go.The filters are supposed to last for 2 years, but I tried taking one out just to see how hard it would be. They have a "quick-twist" design, so you can just swap them by hand without any tools. It’s quiet, it doesn't shake the cabinet, and it passed every test I gave it.As a final step, I always make it a practice to write down the install date, the water readings, and the fill time on a sticker and tape it right to the side of the system. That way, I can check it later and know exactly how it’s performing compared to day one. It’s a fast, simple system that gives you great water..

However, based on the design and features, this looks like a strong option for someone wanting a tankless reverse osmosis system without a bulky storage tank.I like that this system is designed to provide filtered water while saving space under the sink. The tankless design is one of the main reasons it stands out because it should leave the cabinet area cleaner and less crowded. I will be able to judge the water quality and daily performance better after installation, but so far, the system looks well designed and worth considering. Also, when I scheduled the installation, the young lady said she has had positive results with the ones she has installed.I recommend this product.

Don’t buy this. Makes a lot of noise and frequently fails with unresponsive error. Water dispensing stops

So far, this RO system is working great for us. We have well water, so if you know, you know! Our water tastes great now, and the flow rate is good. We can fill a glass or our teapot quickly without having to wait around.I also really like the size. Since it’s tankless, it doesn’t take up much room and fits nicely under the sink. It’s relatively quiet, too. It is a nice design, and so far we have had no leak issues.One thing to be sure of before purchasing is to check that you have a power source where you plan to install it. My husband is fairly handy and has done some other plumbing work around our house, so he was able to install this himself.I stopped buying bottled water, for the most part, a while ago. Then I turned to a water filtering pitcher that I keep in the fridge. It’s nice to not have to keep filling up that pitcher!On the advice of a friend who is a plumber, we also invested in a water softener. If you have well water and don’t have a softener, your RO system can plug up much faster, so that’s something to consider.According to the manufacturer, the RO filter lasts up to two years and the PCF filter up to one year. The included smart faucet provides filter replacement reminders, which makes keeping up with maintenance easier.Overall, we’re very happy with this system so far. Great-tasting water, good flow, minimal noise, and a compact tankless design make it a great fit for our home.

It WORKS!!!! Reverse osmosis was recommended to us after we replaced our kitchen faucet with a modern one and couldn’t use the little one that actually fitted on our old faucet. The well water was DISGUSTING as was the smell, so I asked our contractor, and this is what he recommended!! GAME CHANGER!! The instructions were easy to follow, the noise level was minimal and no more smell! The taste was amazing after, but still had a different kind of taste, which wasn’t obnoxious, just slightly different. Zero leakage! Thankfully the dishwasher was right next to the sink cupboards and hubby was able to add a plug socket for this machine! It also fits under the sink beautifully, taking up very little room.All lights are as they should be, everything is better than expected. The water flow doesn’t reduce when filling my kettle or pans, and will fill a glass of water in no time!GO GET YOU ONE, don’t suffer like I did!

I have tried a few filters in my day and this one beats them all so far. That said, I have not had to replace the cartridge yet but I already enjoy the fact that they last twice as long as my previous 3 stage Whirlpool filter.

I had an RO system that had a 1 gallon hold tank and in 3 years time I replace two units because of leaking and since I use it a lot it ran out often. This new one is definitely worth the extra money, it works well the water flow is faster and I never run out of clean water. The water tastes clean and good. I also love that there are less hookup lines and it takes up very little space under my cabinet. Love this item, highly recommend.

Works well. My water tastes great. It is quieter than I expected. It is a small footprint compared to the large tank system that I had before. I had it professionally installed, so I can't attest how easy it is to install or not. I have not had my water tested since installing.

I was looking at a Philips RO system when I found this "Electrolux" unit. It was on sale and had the features I'm looking for. I have a Waterdrop RO system currently, but they sold me a machine they knew they were discontinuing replacements for, so I'm moving to another brand with reliable availability of replacements. Can't go wrong with a "big brand" like Electrolux, right?WRONG.When I ordered this machine, the RO replacement cartridges were in-stock at amazon, cool! Then, after the system shipped, the RO replacement cartridge went out of stock, "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." Oh, great. I checked the part number, and it's found nowhere else online per Google and Bing. Neither the system nor the cartridges are listed on Electrolux's website.I called Electrolux "customer service" (sic). The first guy, "Ray," absolutely insisted I provide him the unit serial number or he would neither help me nor give me a supervisor. I explained I intended to return this machine if I could not confirm availability of replacements, so I did not want to open the box to get the serial number. He didn't care, and then went silent on me.I called back, spoke with "Mary." She sent me to "Electrolux Professional Appliances." They had some sense, but were unable to help me because they are a separate company from Electrolux "consumer appliances." He transferred me back to their "consumer" "customer service," and I spoke with "Romer." He insisted on transferring me to "Curtis International" "customer service." I told him to NOT just transfer me and hang up. Of course, he did just that.And, of course, the friendly lady at Curtis said "we don't support that product."I did receive a response to my amazon messages inquiry, stating they will "check with their warehouse" but offering no follow-up time frame.I really have no choice but to just send this thing back, unopened. This is absolutely insane. These mega-corporations slap their name on products and simply do not care about "customer experience" anymore. I'm not being unreasonable, I'm not demanding something "special" here - I only want basic information and an assurance that an expensive machine won't be worthless in two years or less because I cannot obtain replacement parts.I most vehemently urge you to think twice if you are considering this machine, or the Electrolux brand!I guess I'll order the Philips product.
